Agreeableness is one of the Big Five Personality Dimensions (along with Conscientiousness, Openness, Extroversion and Neuroticism).  As delightful as agreeable people are, they do have some limitations in the workplace.

Agreeable professionals tend to not push very hard for pay raises or promotions. They tend to feel very uncomfortable having tough talks with those who are not performing well.  And they often sit quietly in meetings even though expected to speak up.
